Travel is more than just going to new places, it’s about the moments that stay with us forever. I started Wakati Travel because of my deep love for Africa, my passion for wildlife conservation, and my desire to help others experience the beauty of this incredible continent.

I have a background in zoology, and I’ve always cared deeply about nature and animals. But life took me in a different direction when I became a mom. Over time, as friends and family kept asking about my past travels—especially my time interning with Save the Elephants. I realized I could bring my love for conservation and travel together to create something special.

Wakati means "time" in Swahili, and for me, it represents slowing down and truly connecting with nature, people, and ourselves. I don’t just plan trips; I create meaningful safari experiences that help travelers see Africa through the eyes of the people there.

Unlike big travel companies that sell luxury tours, I design safaris based on what each traveler wants. Whether it’s a family introducing their kids to Africa, first-time visitors looking for adventure, or experienced travelers who want something unique. I take care of every detail from start to finish so my clients can relax and enjoy the journey.

My goal is for travelers to feel connected to the land, to the amazing people they meet, and to the powerful moments that take their breath away. Whether it’s watching a sunrise over the Serengeti, listening to stories around a fire, or walking through the wilderness, these are the moments that change us. And that’s what Wakati Travel is all about.
